Some of the most important work happens when

Bruce is in the room.

Bruce is a certified therapy dog and a genuine part of the ICG practice. His presence in a coaching or group session changes the environment from the moment he walks in.

The room becomes calmer. People become more open. The nervous system regulation that happens in the presence of a therapy dog creates psychological safety at a level that is genuinely hard to replicate any other way.

For individuals, teams, and community groups doing real work — the kind that requires honesty, vulnerability, and the courage to look at what’s true — that shift is everything.

What Animal Assisted Therapy actually does.

Animal Assisted Therapy is a structured, goal-directed approach that incorporates the presence and interaction of a certified therapy animal into the therapeutic or coaching process.

The science behind it is well established. Interacting with a therapy animal lowers cortisol — the stress hormone — and increases oxytocin, the neurochemical associated with trust and connection. Heart rate slows. The nervous system shifts from a state of vigilance to a state of safety.

In a coaching context, that shift is profound. The defences that make deep work slow and difficult come down. Honesty comes easier. Insight arrives faster. And the breakthroughs that might take months through conventional coaching alone become accessible in a single session.

Bruce is fully certified, trained, and assessed for this work. Every session with Bruce is facilitated by Lesley — an ICF credentialled coach and qualified Animal Assisted Therapy practitioner.

For individuals, teams, and communities ready to do the real work.

Coaching with Bruce is available in three formats — each designed for a different context and a different kind of work. All are by application only.

Individuals

Senior leaders, executives, and individuals navigating significant personal or professional transitions. For those ready to do the kind of deep identity and values work that changes how they lead and live.

Teams

Teams navigating conflict, change, or a breakdown in trust. Bruce’s presence creates the psychological safety that allows teams to have the conversations they’ve been unable to have — and move forward together.

Community

Community groups and organisations working with people who would benefit from the grounding and regulation that Animal Assisted Therapy provides. Available by application and subject to suitability assessment.
