People won't give to others what they don't have
within themselves.
Lesley Buckman is the Principal Coach and Director of Inspired Coaching Group. She is direct, pattern-spotting, and uncommonly good at seeing what others miss.
Her work is grounded in a single conviction: that people flourish — and lead others well — only when they are genuinely aligned with their own values, free from self-doubt, and secure within themselves.
Everything ICG does is built on that belief.
Committed to purpose. Committed to people.
Lesley has always worked closely with people. Across leadership roles in recruitment, telecoms, and manufacturing — in the UK and Australia — the throughline was always the same: the organisations that performed were the ones whose people felt good within themselves.
That observation became a conviction. And in 2019, after 25 years of working inside organisations and watching what actually drives performance, culture, and change, Lesley founded Inspired Coaching Group.
ICG was built to do the work that matters — the kind that starts on the inside and changes everything on the outside. Coaching, training, facilitation, and mentoring that helps leaders align with their values, release self-doubt, and build the internal security that makes everything else possible.
Lesley is also committed to purpose beyond the individual. Her work is informed by a deep belief in the responsibility leaders have — to their people, their organisations, and the world those organisations operate in.
When people are good within themselves, they can genuinely support others. That's when real change happens — in teams, in cultures, in organisations.
Direct. Resourceful. Determined.
Working with Lesley means working with someone who spots patterns quickly, names what others walk past, and brings genuine creativity and resilience to every engagement.
She has grit. She knows what it takes. And she believes completely in full self-ownership and accountability — while also understanding that softening and grounding are part of what makes leaders sustainable.
She is a mother, a wife, and someone who leads her own life by the same principles she brings to her work.
Meet Bruce
Bruce is Lesley’s certified therapy dog — and a genuine part of the ICG coaching practice.
His presence in a session changes the environment immediately. The room becomes calmer. People become more open. The nervous system regulation that happens in the presence of a therapy dog creates a level of psychological safety that is genuinely hard to replicate any other way.
For leaders doing deep identity work — the kind that requires real honesty and vulnerability — that shift matters enormously.
